The Lynnwood Citizens Patrol has taken an active role in addressing crime concerns in the City of Lynnwood in a unique and efficient way. This group of citizens utilizes department vehicles to serve as additional eyes and ears for the police. The citizens, working in teams of 2, patrol the streets of Lynnwood 7 nights a week from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM and have spotted DUI's and stolen vehicles, reported suspicious persons, performed extra watch in problem areas, monitored school bus stops, and have earned respect and acceptance from the patrol officers. Positive feedback has also been received from residents and members of the business community.
